- Category: Assign one of the following categories to your abstract: Basic Science, Preventive and Imaging Cardiology, Interventional and EP Cardiology.
- Author Limit: Maximum 2 abstracts per author.
- Eligibility: The following are not eligible for the AACIO Young Investigator Awards: a) Previous awardees, b) Abstracts already presented or accepted for presentation, c) Abstracts already published or accepted for publication.
- Submitter Requirements: Submitters must be: a) Resident/Fellow in cardiology or related field, b) Have a research position in cardiology or related field, or c) Faculty who have completed their Residency or Fellowship program within 5 years of submission.
- Abstract Format: Each abstract is limited to 1950 characters. Figures, graphs, and tables are permitted but will deduct 500 characters from the total. Abstracts must include the title, author names and degrees, and affiliation.
- Submission: Abstracts must be submitted as an email attachment to both nanda@uab.edu and aacio123@gmail.com.

- Awards: Three awards of $1000 each will be given. Awardees must present their abstract during the AACIO Meeting.
